Help maintain the grounds of the church regularly as part of the Grounds Maintenance team or help with special seasonal projects like spreading mulch or grounds cleanup days. This is a great team for someone with irregular availability because you can often volunteer when it is convenient for you!
Help keep church maintenance costs low by helping maintain the building. Weekday availability is preferred, but evening and weekend volunteer opportunities are also available on occasion. We currently need help painting classrooms.
Perhaps you are retired from a career in administration or you have a little one in preschool and you are looking for a way to volunteer during the day? We need you! We often need help with answering phones, doors, filing, data entry, organizing seatbacks in the worship center, organizing storage closets, kitchen cabinets etc. Feel free to call or stop by the office anytime during office hours to help with administrative tasks.
Join this team to pack backpacks of food for Washington County students in need.
Meet with a student in Washington County Schools one time per week to be a positive influence in their lives. Times vary based on school and student needs. Background checks are required.
We staff the Faith in Action Food Pantry several weeks out of the year. Volunteers are needed Monday from 9:30-1:00, Tuesday from 4:00-7:00 and Friday from 9:30-1:00. Volunteer opportunities range from working the check-in computers (training available) to helping people to the car with their groceries.
Volunteers are needed to sort, steam and price clothing items daily. It involves going through the donations piece by piece, looking for stains rips and tears and deciding if it will stay at the store. The items are then hung up, steamed and priced before going onto the sales floor. It is a very physical job involving lifting the bags and using the steamer. Volunteers are needed each week beginning at 9 am Monday through Saturday. Some of the volunteers work 9-12 while others will work 12-3 or 1-5.
